Dreams® Resorts & Spas, the premium family-friendly brand of Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, is making more Caribbean dreams come true – this time in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, and in Curaçao’s Piscadera Bay. The former marks the seventh of its kind to open in that island nation. At the former, the upscale family-friendly property has launched a new option for adults only – the only Unlimited-Luxury® experience in that Dutch island.
Here's a look at some of the most captivating features new to the Caribbean.
Dreams® Cap Cana Resort & Spa: Cap Cana for the Kids
This resort opened its doors November 2024 and has all of the bells and whistles you’d expect from a modern property in Punta Cana’s most exclusive resort community. Its 519 elegantly designed accommodations, including 40 spacious villas, are spread across six-story buildings – including Preferred Club suites that offer preferred status, upgraded amenities and upgraded services such as an exclusive restaurant, bar, and lounge. All guests have access to ten restaurants, five bars, and the convenient Sip, Savor & See dining experience that offers guests the chance to dine at select properties within the region, making it a customizable fit for any family. Plus, extended amenities such as stables and an equestrian center and world-class marina put even more opportunities on the menu.
But we all know that happy kids are the key to happy parents, which is why special attention was paid to the development of the kids’ program at this new resort.
The Explorer’s Club for Kids at Dreams Cap Cana offers extended hours of 9 AM to 10 PM for children between the ages of 3 and 12, and is fully supervised by American Red Cross CPR-certified staff members. The schedule of activities includes plenty of enrichment, from arts and crafts to kids’ theater arts, plus general fun like treasure hunts, sandcastle contests, and free play in the playground. More structured recreation, perfect for a rainy day, are board games, video games, and the indoor game room. And for the evening, children can look forward to movies on the big screen, weekly campouts, and dinner with their friends.
For a more customized experience, babysitting is available for a nominal 20 USD cash an hour for one child and it’s only $10 more per hour for an additional child. The minimal time slot is three hours and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance, and no transportation fees apply until after 7 PM.
Meanwhile, teens get a place of their own: Core Zone Teens Club, open from 10 AM to 8 PM daily. Strictly for those aged 13-17, this fully staff-supervised – but otherwise adult-free zone – offers a safe space for teens, giving them and their parents some valuable time apart before joining back up for dinner. Social events here include disco mixers, and a snack bar with non-alcoholic drinks offer all-day refreshments between rounds of video games, billiards, and foosball.
Il Mare, Adults-Only Preferred Club, Dreams Curaçao
After much anticipation, Dreams® Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino officially opened the doors to the new Il Mare, Adults-Only Preferred Club, Dreams Curaçao in December 2024, with 52 brand-new beachfront suites nestled along the Caribbean Sea. These trendy coastal suites offer the beachfront experience of toes in the sand right from an expansive terrace, plus exclusive dining and amenities. And with this, the “dream” of an adults-only offering in Curaçao within Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection portfolio is now a reality.
As mentioned before, this is literally the only adults-only Unlimited-Luxury® resort in this destination. Dreams Curaçao is a family-friendly resort aside from Il Mare, Adults-Only Preferred Club, as are the AAA Four Diamond Zoëtry® Curaçao Resort & Spa, which offers Endless-Privileges® instead, and Sunscape® Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino, whose promise is Unlimited-Fun®.
Guests who book a suite located in Il Mare, Adults-Only Preferred Club, Dreams Curaçao can enjoy their bungalows directly on the beach, and will receive all of the standard Preferred Club amenities that Dreams Curaçao offers, plus exclusive access to their own special infinity pool with its own exclusive poolside bar featuring top-shelf liquors; a gourmet Mediterranean restaurant strictly for this category; and full exchange privileges to not only Dreams Curaçao, but every one of the high-end facilities at Zoëtry Curaçao, including a relaxation pool, two specialty restaurants, and two bars.
As if that weren’t enough, all Dreams Curaçao guests can also take a city tour into the central parts of the island to visit the Queen Juliana Bridge, which overlooks the main city of Willemstad and Fort Nassau, and end with a taste of the blue Curaçao liqueur. Another fun outing can be a guided walk through the Hato Caves, a 180,000-year-old cave, which does double duty with a stop at a local ostrich farm where you can even sample ostrich dishes. And of course, there’s always the water. Snorkeling at the reef or the tugboat wreck is a classic day out; more adventurous souls can take to the rope swing, too.
