Travel Advisor Champion Carson Kressley launches ALGV’s monthlong celebration with a first-time-ever experience and star-powered support.
It all started with a day for travel advisor appreciation. Then, some of our individual brands extended it to a week. But collectively, ALG Vacations® decided even that wasn’t enough. And now, every year since then, we’ve celebrated Travel Advisor Appreciation Month, and even launched the Year of the Travel Advisor!
And this year, for 2024, we’re making the absolute most of all 31 days and kicking it off in a huge way.
For instance, in case you somehow missed it, we’ve partnered with celebrity personality Carson Kressley and named him ALGV’s first-ever Travel Advisor Champion, charged with raising awareness of the necessity of using travel advisors to Get You There. And he’s done an amazing job, engaging with travel advisors, travel agencies, consortia groups, and most importantly, consumer-facing national media to talk about this very important topic.
So who better to kick off this year’s Travel Advisor Appreciation Month than him, with our own Jacki Marks at his side?

But that wasn’t the only way we brought his star power to shine on the travel advisor community.
On May 1, we unveiled a billboard in New York City’s Times Square with Carson himself and a special group of guests. Among them were members of the trade media, including journalists from Travel Market Report, TravelPulse, Travel Agent magazine, Travel Weekly, and TravelAge West. Additionally, Jacki was by his side along with key members of the ALGV Marketing and Public Relations teams, plus ten travel advisor partners.
Lunch at Bar 54, on the 54th floor of Hyatt Centric Times Square followed. One of the most centrally located hotels in Manhattan, this happening property is also available to book through any of the ALG Vacations® brands.
