A reimagined experience keeps this Dominican beach resort a #1 hit for families.
Just like a cover breathes new life into a favorite song, recent renovations have given Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana an update in vibe. The original legacy in a line of all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotels, it’s taken the classics that bring families back year after year and remixed them with brand-new accompaniments.
And it begins as soon as you check in.
Continuing to hit all the right notes guests have loved in the past, five updated room categories now strike new chords of understated luxury, emphasizing the resort’s chill-glam atmosphere. Curved lines, rich colors, and dark-wood furnishings hint at glitz in suites inspired by music, fashion—and the long history between the two—as well as the natural beauty of Punta Cana. The new contemporary chic design creates a look with the feel of the red carpet … a sure sign the hotel’s spot on the best-dressed resort list is firmly reserved.
Of course, with Dominican-born Oscar de la Renta behind this glow-up, we wouldn’t expect anything less.
Function, however, is crucial for vacationers with kids, and families will find the suites aren’t remiss. Whirlpool tubs on the balcony, sitting areas with queen-size sofa beds, and ample closet space for hanging up your threads prove these rooms still favor practicality as much as aesthetics. Caribbean Suites, Islander Junior Suites, Caribbean Sand Suites, and the Caribbean Diamond Suites welcome up to four guests including children; at the club level, the two-bedroom Rock Suites—outfitted with the services of a Personal Assistant—sleep up to seven.
Families won’t want to spend too much time in their home-away-from-homes, though. An all-access pass to a full line-up of amenities means entertainment at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana is as inclusive as it is included. No less than 13 pools—three for kids—a FlowRider® surf simulator, championship and mini golf courses, Body Rock® fitness center, Rock Om® yoga pavilion, beach volleyball and soccer, and water sports center satisfy every genre of entertainment. At night, events like karaoke, a Lion King show for kids, and live Jam Band performances from fellow guests 12 and older (Or your own family, perhaps?) let everyone keep the party going.
Yet as much as we love an encore, it’s the new talent on the grounds that kids are sure to flock to. Families who like a little healthy competition will find plenty at the bowling alley and Laser Tag Space Adventure, while gamers will want to put their skills to the reality test in the Escapology escape room … if you can get them to leave the game lounge.
Soon to debut, the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club™ will replace the current kids club, giving the 4 – 12 crew more arts and crafts, snorkeling expeditions, talent shows, pool parties, and music-themed entertainment to experience. An expansive setlist from 10 AM until 10:45 PM ensures Roxtars have time to do it all.
Adults, on the other hand, will favor a different “renovation”: room prices where up to two kids stay for just $20 a night each, for a limited time only. Your preferred ALG Vacations® brand can give you the details—and make the next family vacation a rocking good deal.
