X(caret) Marks the Spot for an Xceptional Destination Wedding

There are few Cancun visitors that are unfamiliar with the Xcaret brand. Their parks are an absolute must, with eco-friendly, conservation-minded attractions and adventures suited for just about every type of traveler in every age group. For instance, cultural villages, shows, and wildlife at the original Xcaret Park; action-packed, rugged Xplor; evening parties on the water with Xoxomilco … just to mention a few. It’s complimentary access to these that have helped make the luxurious Hotel Xcaret such a hit, even beyond its gorgeous grottoes and exemplary dining.

However, what some don’t know is that two other properties have joined the lodging portfolio of the Grupo Xcaret, and that they’re even more high-end, immersive retreats than the original. And they’re adults-oriented, for ages 16 and over exclusively, which makes them perfect for romantic weddings in peaceful, otherworldly settings.

These two resorts are Hotel Xcaret Arte and La Casa de la Playa.

What Makes Hotel Xcaret Arte & La Casa de la Playa Exceptional for Weddings?

First and foremost, they’re gorgeous. Breathtaking. Stunning. And several other superlatives that make them fantastic tropical settings for unforgettable nuptials that your guests will feel well worth the trip, especially since they’re fully inclusive. For instance, Xcaret’s officiants can perform both symbolic or legal ceremonies, such as vow renewals or LGBTQ+ weddings, which are fully legal in Mexico.

For Catholic, Jewish, or Christian ceremonies, the hotels have vetted officiants that couples can make arrangements with directly. They also offer non-denominational chapels exclusively for the use of Hotel Xcaret Arte or La Casa de la Playa guests, and a spectacular hilltop Catholic chapel at the first Hotel Xcaret. And for South Asian couples, a new cultural package designed for 50+ guests has just been introduced. Additionally, the hotel group offers a Prehispanic ceremony with live music performed by a Mayan priest, which is a signature offering for the brand.

Regardless of ceremony type or denomination, the three available wedding packages (available at Hotel Xcaret as well as Hotel Xcaret Arte and La Casa de la Playa) come with a generous list of inclusions. The most popular one, the Paraiso package, is designed for 30+ wedding guests and features:

  • Venue use
  • Ceremony, with audio and microphone for the officiant and live music performed by a soloist
  • Gazebo with flowers that match the couple’s personal flowers
  • One-hour cocktail party with open bar and appetizers
  • Four-hour reception with a three-course menu, open bar, dance floor, and DJ
  • Two-hour photo session before or the day after the wedding
  • Personalized gift for the couple
  • Romantic amenity the night before the wedding, and a romantic breakfast serving an exclusive menu for the day after
  • Clothes ironing
  • Complimentary fourth night certificate for redemption upon their first anniversary

For more intimate weddings of 12 guests or fewer, the Encanto package makes the most sense for an on-site wedding. The three most popular venues at Hotel Xcaret Arte include Mirador Artistas, Caleta Ecumenica, and El Caracol at Casa de la Paz while folks love that having a beachfront wedding at La Casa de la Playa incurs no additional site fees. But off-site, premium private venues at their titular Xcaret Park are also available for weddings hosting 20 – 500 guests, and exclusive and complimentary transportation for the five-minute drive from the resorts are part and parcel.

However, that’s not to say you and your guests won’t be able to take advantage of that park access even if the nuptials take place at the hotel. As mentioned before, part of the bands’ All-Fun Inclusive© concept is unlimited access to Xcaret’s tours, theme parks, and premier cuisine. Best of all, those who choose the top of the line property, La Casa de la Playa, also have opportunities to experience a variety of romantic Exclusively Your Way tailor-made experiences, such as Xpeleo, an early-morning guided private tour of the Xplor Park caves.

At either property, special amenities and a wedding suite await at the Muluk Spa, a natural cave-inspired sanctuary offering specialized treatments in wellness, relaxation, and beauty … all good omens for a happy, healthy life ahead for the couple tying the knot.
